About Bread & Butter Bakery
We specialise traditional European and naturally leavened sourdough breads. All breads are made from certified organic ingredients!
At Bread & Butter shops you will find a selection of traditional German sourdoughs, French crusty baguettes, wheat free sourdoughs, and seeded loaves. We have south-German pretzels and pretzel breads, naturally leavened, yeast-, dairy-, and gluten-free bread.
Our breads are baked directly on stone tiles, which gives them a robust and tasty crust that seals in flavour and keeps them fresh for longer. Our bread is as good as bread can be, because we love bread.
Our cakes and pastries are made according to traditional recipes that place utmost importance on taste and original style. We don’t use any premixes, additives or off-the-shelf-fillings. Some of the ingredients in our pastries are organic, however not all of them. We strive to use as much local New Zealand produce as is feasible.
